This is why I am running: My family.
It is a selfish and wholly self-serving reason, but I hope you all would do the same.
I moved here as a kid. My wife was born here, and our girls were born in the same maternity wing. We don’t want to leave. We don’t want to be pushed out.
Sometimes, you must do things that are unpleasant, or difficult. Sometimes we are called to something bigger than ourselves.
I am standing up for what is right not because I want to, but because I need to. My family and my future depend on it.
